General Information - King of Sport

Let me give you a summary of who we are. I am a 35 year old semi- retired IT executive living my dream in the Philippines for the past 3 years aboard a 112’ trimaran named the ‘King of Sports III’.

In my early 20’s I owned/operated a small fleet of commercial vessels in Saipan for five years. I also have a 100 ton USCG unlimited masters captains license which I figured qualifies me to navigate these waters and rebuild this monster Trimaran.

I bought my boat in Manila and cruised around Luzon, Mindoro and Palawan for 6 months while making my plans to remodel the entire vessel. My intention was to take a couple of years off to explore, surf, fish and dive remote places in this part of the world before starting another company. Two years ago we brought ‘The King’ down to Cebu for a dry dock that was supposed to take 3 months- 8 months later we had the infrastructure working well enough to continue our work while cruising. There are always small project and improvements to be made but I would say that the boat is 95% completed. It has been a long and expensive process but I am happy with the results.

The yacht now has 4 very experienced crewmembers and 1 female cook/stewardess. I Captain the boat but share some of the driving with one of the crewmen. I went through 38 other employees to get these 5 and we are working as one happy family. The cuisine on board is a combination of Southern French, Filipino, Thai, and fusion American. The boat has tons of space and there are five main ‘hang out’ areas where you can get away from others on the boat. We have a 10,000 liter water tank with rain catchment system and a 10,000 fuel tank which allows us to stay out for weeks, or months, without going ashore. The range at 10knots is approximately 2,000NM.

- Centralized weatherproof sound system with a programmable library of over 1000 hours of MP3’s
- 36” Television with surround sound theater and Books and over 100 DVD’s

The King has four decks and the main deck is for the guests. I live on the second deck and the five crew sleep below deck. We have a complete spare parts inventory and machine shop below deck as well a welding machine and computerized energy monitoring systems

Surf

The main surfing area is in Siargao island on the East end of the Visaya island group but we surf 300 miles of reef facing the Pacific from Southern Samar to Northern Mindanao. You need at least a week on the yacht to do this trip right. The waves are world class and in all but a few locations we are the only people out surfing. We also offer discounts for longer charters.

There are a dozen breaks we focus on but there are another 50 breaks of varying size and intensity which we could go to. There aren’t many waves (ie beach breaks) for beginners. This is high performance wave surfing (see photo section on website).

Diving

There are several world class diving destinations in the Philippines and I have been to them all. The best by far is Tubbataha reef but there are others that are very good. There are good dive spots around Cebu (Apo island, Cabilao Island, Balicasag Island, Malapascua Island) and we do these trips when guests have only 3-5 days to be on the yacht.

We do combine surf/dive trips but we need to be out near the Pacific. The perfect plan is to remain flexible. As your charter date approaches we closely watch the weather and swell forecasts. When waves are approaching we head to the surf anchorage. If it's flat or conditions are wrong we dive.

1. MINIMUM DAYS NOW is 7 days/7 nights since 5 days will NOT BE ENOUGH to enjoy the Dive/Surf/Fishing Your Adventure Start: From Cebu to Siargao Island (Farthest Philippine Territory Island Facing Pacific Ocean) :)

2. It's CONFIRMED The Whole Boat will be yours as long as u can bring in 6 minimum Passenger and you can have additional friends coming since it can carry up to 10-15 Divers/Surfer/Fishing

Please confirm the dates. btw, 30% to confirm Reservation. The rest will be paid a week before or on the day that they arrive at the yacht. They should bring their own surf boards, diving equipment/gear (wetsuit, mask, fins, booties, snorkel, bcd/reg) but they can also rent at Scotty's Dive Center in Cebu $15/day for 1 set bcd/reg, wetsuit, weights. we don't earn anything from this. I think I can ask for a discount if they will rent a few sets.

From Cebu these are the possible destinations for Surfing-Diving-Fishing.
We will go to at least 5 destinations for a week long charter, depending on the weather. Also due to the weather, we should be flexible about where to go. We will be coordinating closely with you about this a week before the charter.

The King can accommodate 15 passengers, but ideally 6 to 8 only. The main deck, aside from having the saloon, also has the following:

- Green Room-with a queen sized bed and private bathroom
- Blue Room-with a king sized bed, double bunk beds and private bathroom
- Red Room-with double bunks and a shared bathroom
- At the second deck there are queen sized bed, private bathroom and a spacious office. -All Rooms have a separate aircon unit.

Sport Fishing Catch:
Sailfish, Dorado (Mahi Mahi), Yellowfin Tuna, King Mackeral, and Barracuda.
All the fish, except the small Tuna were caught on riggeed flying fish despite a mixed spread of lures and rigged baits.
